Your guide to creating spooky-cute Halloween journal spreads! From a magical mood tracker to festive bucket lists and a daily page packed with tricks and treats, this post is full of creative ideas and sticker fun to help you celebrate the season in style.
Hey friends! If you’re ready to get cozy and a little spooky with your journal this October then this post is for you! Here’s a full breakdown of all the spreads, sticker collections, and practical tips from my latest Youtube video. Here you’ll find everything you need to make your journal extra sparkly and magical.
This year’s collections bring together all our favourite spooky-cute vibes like our Witches & Potions Collection (witches and apothecary magic), Spooky Boos Collection (jack-o-lanterns, adorable ghosts) and our Spooky Halloween Collection (costumed cats, and more!). If you love mixing and matching sticker themes, you’ll have plenty of options for all your Halloween planning. This year we also included a full Halloween box set for the first time ever! It comes with a themed tote and a mini dot grid journal.
🖊️ Tools Used
For these spreads, I used:
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens:
620 Lilac
243 Mint
946 Orange
N75 Cool Grey 3
N55 Cool Grey 7 - Tombow Mono Drawing Pens: #1 and #3
- Pencil, ruler, eraser, tweezers, and your favourite dot grid journal
👻 Halloween Bucket List + Mood Tracker
Bucket List: Start with a simple, organized layout with space for 4-5 must-try Halloween activities (ex: pumpkin carving, trying festive drinks, reading spooky stories). Decorate each list item with a themed sticker - witches, jack-o-lanterns, books, etc.
Mood Tracker: I’ve used our The Witch's Apothecary Sticker Sheet as the inspo for this layout. First, draw some shelves for the potion bottles. Color/shape coding lets you track your moods using 30+ unique bottles so each shelf becomes a magical potion display! Add a color-coded key and fill each day with a new bottle. Want to track more than just mood? Use the same potion stickers method for habit tracking with a spooky twist!
🏚️ Halloween Bucket List Version 2
This one’s a more free-flowing layout, bordered by pretty washi tape and a “Happy Halloween” sticker in the center. Each bucket list item is again tied to a sticker (trick-or-treat, costume shopping, haunted house visits, Halloween parties, trying themed drinks, etc.).
Write a short blurb beside each sticker about your plans or memories, and connect them with playful arrows for a visual touch. Fill empty space with ghosts, bats, and bubbles from the sticker sheets.
🎃 Daily Spread With a Halloween-Style Twist
For this daily spread think about dividing the page into several functional sections such as:
- Shopping list
- Candy list
- Trick-or-treat list
- A reflections list
Decorate with more shiny potion stickers and spooky boos, highlight the sections with a grey marker. This layout is flexible so label the sections however works best for your plans. Use the shiny or holographic stickers from the variety pack for extra sparkle!

✨ Your Halloween Spreads That Inspired Us!
I didn’t just draw inspiration from our own sticker collections this year, your creativity blew me away too! Here are three amazing Halloween-themed spreads from our community that truly stood out. Each one brought a fresh twist to spooky journaling and we couldn’t help but share them here and maybe you too get a few new ideas for your own pages!
Nicole Dempsey - This spread is packed with Halloween cheer! Nicole organized her October memories by using hand-drawn shapes (like a pumpkin, bat, and ghost) as spaces to jot down her favourite moments, memories, and things she’s looking forward to. Spooky boo stickers add pops of color and fun details throughout, while scattered candies keep the whole layout lively and inviting!
Nicole Strettan-Erker - Nicole arranged each day in this weekly layout in an easy-to-follow grid and decorated the whole spread with haunted houses, bats, pumpkins, and adorable witched. Dotted lines connect different sections, giving the pages a playful, adventure-map feel, and themed stickers bring every box to life!

Alana Dwyer - This bold, bright cover page sets the tone for a magical Halloween! Alana created an enchanting apothecary scene, complete with witchy shelves, potion bottles, candy, and witches in action. The window with a glowing moon adds a cozy nighttime vibe, while the green background and lively stickers make every detail pop. It’s stunning and shows just how creative you can get with a themed cover!
