Your cozy guide to creating three autumn-inspired journal spreads! From a warm mood board to an autumn wish list and a reading tracker, this tutorial is full of tips and creative touches to bring all the fall vibes to your pages.
Hey everyone! If you’re looking to bring all the warmth and colour of fall into your journal then you’ve come to the perfect place. I’ll walk you through everything we covered in our latest Fall themed Youtube video so you can grab your favourite stickers and jump right in!
We’re working with some of the most popular Autumn sticker sets from the H&C shop this season:
Apple Harvest
Autumn Foxes
Autumn Capybaras
Autumn Bunnies
Plus we also have Pumpkin Spice, Woodland Mushrooms, and Squirrelly Acorns, there’s really something for everyone!
These collections include a mix of some of our most popular items like our sticker sheets, planner stickers, washi tapes, die-cuts, etc. The Autumn Capybaras and Bunnies also come in special reusable sturdy boxes that I love for storing extra stickers!
🖊️ Materials You’ll Need
Here’s what I reached for (but you can use whatever you have!):
- Tombow brush pens
992: Sand
N95: Cool Gray 1 (Light Gray)
990: Light Sand
942: Capuccino
192: Asparagus (Green)
977: Saddle Brown (Dark Brown)
020: Peach
991: Light Ochre (Yellow)
933: Orange - Tombow Mono drawing pens: #1 and #3
- Dot grid spacing sheet
- Ruler, pencil, eraser (mistakes are welcome, we love the process)
- Stickers!
🌟 Spread 1: Autumn Mood Board

Begin with stickers from the planner kit and variety pack in the autumn collections, mix and match bunnies, foxes, apples, capybaras. Leave a border around the page so your grid lines and frames stand out.
Add hand-drawn boxes, a scarf doodle, a polaroid frame, and set up sections for things like fall vibes, planning lists, and anything else you can think of (I made a section for swatches)!
Use checkered or fall-pattern coloring and soft outlines for depth. Finish by adding shadow with Tombow N95 to make everything pop!
Tip: You can swap stickers or themes, and adapt the boxes for whatever you want, this layout is super flexible!
🍁 Spread 2: Fall Bucket List Bingo

Set up a 5x5 grid (using your dot grid sheet and a pencil).
Use planner stickers and doodles to fill in each square and make it playful. Fill each bingo square with fun autumn activities like apple picking, pie baking, pumpkin carving, cozy scarf shopping, enjoying a warm cup of tea at home, and more. Let the cute stickers inspire your prompts!
Create a small fall scenery at the bottom of the page, I did bunnies on a truck, capybaras by the hills, some autumn foxes, and leaves scattered throughout.
Leave some space on the left side of the spread for reflecting on seasonal goals, gratitude, or new traditions.
Tip: This spread doesn’t need to be dated and works with any autumn theme you have!
🦊 Spread 3: Wishlist & Reading List

Begin with drawing a scenery of grass at the bottom of the spread. You can then decorate it with some autumn bunnies, foxes and capybaras.
Divide your page into two framed sections and leave some space from the top and the sides. Use the Tombow 997 to draw a wooden looking border on both pages and outline it.
Title one side “Wishlist” (for fall jackets, scarves, pumpkin pie from that specialty shop), the other “Books to Read” or customize for movies/music.Highlight title lines with soft yellow and alternate colored lines for clarity.
Add more leaves, apples and lots of fun signage around for extra cuteness.
Tip: This simple setup is perfect for gratitude, looking forward, or reflections at the end of each month.
🎨 Wrapping Up!
These three layouts - the mood board, bucket list bingo, and wishlist, are all about making journaling accessible and fun, even if you’re just getting started.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes! Erase, try again, and let your spreads be a reflection of your creativity. Adapt these ideas to suit your own fall stickers, favorite colors, and journaling style.
