Picnic Day Weekly Spread

Here is a weekly spread tutorial with our Picnic Day theme - Read on to find out how easy it is to set up a journal page with our stickers!

WHAT I USED

  • Picnic Day Collection
  • Green marker
  • 3 Shades of purple (optional for mood tracker)
  • Pencil
  • Grey - Zebra Mildliner Dual Tip
  • Lavender - Zebra Mildliner Dual tip
  • Muji Gel pen

These materials were what I used for reference, but you may use any supplies you have on hand :)

Oh no! The froggies have taken over our picnic party!

Join me and let’s set up our spread together!

As always before we begin, let’s decide what we want to include in our layout. I added a mood tracker, habit tracker and notes as additional sections. For a background I have a polaroid and a picnic blanket. Feel free to choose any elements you like based on your needs!

It took me a while to figure out a way to fit everything into this layout. It’s really handy to make layout sketches on a rough paper before starting in your journal. Don’t forget you can always switch things around from this example to create something to your liking!

It’s time to get started in your journal! Let’s use a pencil to mark out all the elements before going over it with a marker. I used a light grey marker to keep a pastel colour palette. You could also use a black marker or other bright colours to liven up the page.

Focusing on the mood tracker - it’s a jar of flowers and we will be colouring each flower based on our moods for the week. In this step, colour only the jar and stems so you can get to the the flowers during the week.

Next we’re going to work on the picnic blanket. Draw horizontal lines first and go over it with vertical lines to complete the pattern. Here’s a tip - using a wide tip marker like a highlighter or a brush pen is great to make wide lines!

I’m adding a little part of the blanket on the polaroid ( if you haven’t guessed already its the part of the blanked hidden by Sunday haha ) We’ll use stickers in the end to complete the scenery. Feel free to switch this out for a real picture!

Getting to our habit tracker, it’s in a table format with the habits on the left and Mon-Sun on top. To fill it out you just have to mark the habit and day where they intersect. You can use the grid as a guide.

Below the habit tracker we have a simple box lined with a brush pen to write down any notes.

Next, you can use the journaling set to add the days and dates or write them out too.

Going back to the mood tracker - here’s what it looks like when it’s completed! These are lavenders but you can even do tulips, daisies or any other flower you like!

It’s time for stickers! Here’s where the froggies take over!!
