First off- I love HubChub journals and have used close to ten! So I was super excited to get my first A5 wide. But I can’t lie to myself anymore- the quality is not HubChub standard. Maybe I got a dud? The paper keeps ripping when I try to remove HubChub stickers (HC prides themselves on how their stickers can be removed without damage- which is true with all the other planners I’ve used so far.) And the colour is already rubbing off the cover and spine even though I’ve only been using it for three weeks and am being super careful with it (see picture). However, the A5 wide layout is amazing and perfect for my needs. Maybe I’ll go with a lighter cover next time so when the colour rubs off it won’t be as noticeable.

It came with my first subscription box. I have already read about the products’ high quality but I was suprised when I actually saw it in real life. The cover is made of a soft, leathery material and the paper is smooth and has a nice “thickness” (sorry for the mistakes, English is not my mother language). It’s a fantastic feeling writing in it.
